Information
Shiloh Ranch is located in Chappell Hill, just outside of Brenham, Texas.  There is so much to see and do in this scenic, historic region of Central Texas.  We're located halfway between Houston and Austin on US Highway 290, and then about 7.5 miles north on FM 1155.

This area is renowned as the "Birthplace of Texas," because in the tiny community of Washington (about 10 miles east of our ranch) lies the site of the signing of the Texas Declaration of Independence.  In 1836, 59 delegates gathered here under the direction of Sam Houston and George Childress to draft and sign the document that declared Texas a "free and sovereign nation."  Texas was an independent nation for 10 years before agreeing to annexation by the United States.

Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historical Park now exists on the site, and hundreds of thousands of visitors make their way here each year to visit the park.  There are over 30 bed & breakfasts and hotels in the area.  Historic Downtown Brenham is a hub of activity with over 40 antiques and gift shops, clothing boutiques, restaurants and a live theater.  And don't miss Downtown Chappell Hill to visit Bevers Kitchen, Texana Cigar and Coffee Shop and the Chappell Hill Historical Museum.
